Notes on an Execution
Really enjoyed the way this book makes you think about the death penalty and whether or not people deserve redemption. This has always been a subject that I have mixed opinions on. I think the author made a point to show us the perpetrators perspective and allow the reader to feel sympathetic, but then dive deeper into the complex ways his actions affected the women throughout his life. The ending really got to me and was beautifully written for each victim. Though I don’t think I’ve been persuaded to think one way or the other about the death penalty, the author was able to open my mind about different ways it can affect the people involved.
Good but not great
It was interesting enough to keep listening to. I wouldn’t say it was a great book or one I would recommend to a friend. It didn’t keep me on the edge of my seat or have me intrigued but enough that I didn’t get bored and finished it.
First audiobook experience: awesome!
The story was awesome and the narrators were excellent and captivating. The story felt like something I would hear on a podcast. Loved it.
