Fallon meets Ben, an aspiring novelist, the day before her scheduled cross-country move. Their untimely attraction leads them to spend Fallon’s last day in Los Angeles together, and her eventful life becomes the creative inspiration Ben has always sought for his novel. Over time and amidst the various relationships and tribulations of their own separate lives, they continue to meet on the same date every year. Until one day Fallon becomes unsure if Ben has been telling her the truth or fabricating a perfect reality for the sake of the ultimate plot twist.
Can Ben’s relationship with Fallon—and simultaneously his novel—be considered a love story if it ends in heartbreak?
Customer Reviews
10/10
One of my absolute favorite COHO books. I randomly picked this one to read and I can’t believe this book is so underrated and not suggested more. It was so good.
Easy listening!
I love that they used male and female readers. It made much easier to follow while listening to the audiobook.
SO GOOD
I like most of Colleen Hoover’s books but was really impressed with this one. Plot itself is good, but it has So many twists and turns that I couldn’t put it down. I found myself laughing then crying. There are also ties to Miles & Tate (Ugly Love) which was totally unexpected but made me smile. The only thing I did not like was the voiceover for Fallon. Ugh, The woman sounds like a slow sex phone operator so I had to listen to those chapters at 1.5x. Other than that, great read!
