Translation Difficulties

When I need to read books/plays that are difficult to comprehend, I buy the audiobook and listen to it while reading the book. This play is tricky because it has been translated differently. It is read (preformed) here with different words and phrases than it is most commonly found in books. It is a nice thing to listen to, but is very different from the written Play.

Best Translation of a Great Book

This is the W.B.Yeats translation, which is rather hard to find...but if you're going to read a classic Greek text in English, you might as well read a translation by one of England's greatest poets. I prefer this translation to all others. And the performance is excellent as well.

Yay! Dramatizations! :)

The translation is different because this is a dramatization rather than an actual audiobook. I really like to listen to dramatizations because there is more than one voice and they often use sound effects which keep my attention and spur my imagination much more than an unabridged reading by one person. If you want an audio file to help you read along, make sure it doesn't have 'dramatization' next to the title in parentheses, if you want to listen to a book simply for entertainment or if you're re-reading it I'd highly reccommend this one :)
