"Don't be fooled by the title of this seriocomic ode to success; it's not 'Climb Every Mountain,' kid version. All journeys face perils, whether from indecision, from loneliness, or worst of all, from too much waiting. Seuss' familiar pajama-clad hero is up to the challenge, and his odyssey is captured vividly in busy two-page spreads evoking both the good times (grinning purple elephants, floating golden castles) and the bad (deep blue wells of confusion). Seuss' message is simple but never sappy: life may be a 'Great Balancing Act,' but through it all 'There's fun to be done.'"
Beautifully, exhillerantingly read with great back ground music. If this production doesn't put a skip in your step and a beaming smile on your face then nothing will.
My favorite book since I was a child
I listen to this book when I’m feeling down and another plus the narrator has a comforting voice
SIMPLE AND WISE
I wish I read this book when I was at a younger and more inliuential age when I was told that things would not always go my way but that was not to such terrible event. John Lithgow's reading is wonderfully energetic and a prime example of what distinguishes a good audiobook from a bad one. He brings life and weight to the words that he is reading. Dr. Suess can be overly simplistic at times but I cannot measure the words had on my own life. A beautiful book for any and all ages.
