A former Delta Force commander, Brad Taylor proves with this breathtaking debut thriller that Vince Flynn and Brad Thor have company. A collection of top operatives, the Taskforce was commissioned by the highest levels of government, kept secret from the media and even Congress. The best of the Taskforce bunch, Pike Logan knows the greatest threat to American security is one or two idealogues. Unfortunately for them, they’ve just crossed Pike’s path.

A little unrealistic...
The only reason I’m not making a little bigger deal about it is because it is a work of fiction; so you can’t expect it to be realistic all the way through but I hoped for a little better imagination. This is my main bone to pick: in a hostage situation; even in the movies, what is one of the first things a hostage negotiator do? He verifies that the hostage is still &:$;&@ ALIVE!!!! Especially before he puts his butt on the line and travels all the way to CENTRAL AMERICA. Other than that; I liked the book. The narrator isn’t as bad as everyone seems to think.
I agree. The voices were a downer.
The story was compelling and kept me interested but the voice characterization was horrid.
Horrible narration. Almost ruined a good story.
Good story. Horrible narration. Read it! Reader made Jennifer sound like a whiny 5 year old. Hard to see her as the person the written version portrayed her as. Thanks
