ABRIDGED!! Do NOT Buy.
The biggest, best and most important chapters were left OUT of this audio recording. Say goodbye to Hong Kong, Bermuda, the Falklands and others.
Shame on Apple for not disclosing this in any way. Pathetic even.

Abridged Yes - But still great
I have enjoyed listening to Simon reading all of his other audiobooks and this one is equally great. He does point out that he unfortunately had to abridge the audio version of the book. Even the shortened version is worth listening to as it captures the character of the legacy of the British empire. Perhaps he can record the unabridged version at some point but until then I’m happy to recommend this recording as a must for fans of Simon’s work.
