How to fix it
OK, the book is great, but I had to weld the 12 parts back together, then split it into the 73 chapters, (tedious, but doable on a Mac), and finally adjust the settings in iTunes to remember position etc. If you don't mind not seeing which chapter you are on, the last step is all you really need to do. This could have been done differently and if they fix it, maybe they will let everyone download it again for free??? P.S. Finally finished the last chapter edit of name.... Did I mention it was tedious? I REALLY hope Apple fixes this......PPS You will also need a DRM removal tool for the first part if you get ambitious at hacking this up to fix it. This can be done, but would be a lot better if Apple did it. Less work to fix it.
Wonderful reading (listening) with the Bible
This is such a good commentary on the first few books of the Bible. I got this when I began to began reading the Bible a few years ago. This author "teaches" ( by example) how to read the Bible. She tells the story as you read it, then she studies the moral lesson that the character needed to learn the situation, and then makes a contemporary application of the story. It takes those old stories and amplifies, without altering. Better than most of my favorite televangelists, or radio bible teachers.
I recommend the whole set of 5 books in this series Patriarchs and Prophets, Prophets & Kings, Desire of Ages, Acts of the Apostles, and Great Controversy. They chronicle the whole Bible theme beginning to end. The reader is easy to listen to, and I listen to this when I work, or after I've read, or listened to the sections of the Bible that these chapters follow. (series follows the Bible story) Great for the Bible student, and for a student of humanity (from a theistic perspective).
Patriarchs & Prophets
This is a great book, my only issue is the format. It's hard for me to listen to a full 2 hour section and if I get interupted I don't always remember where I left off. It would have been perfect if it had been divided into the individual chapters. That way if I want to listen to a certian part I can do that. As it is you have 22 hours divided into 12 parts. I wish I had known this before I bought it. Now if someone can tell me how to seperate it I would be more than happy! It would be worth doing.
