Nadja Aleksander is desperate to escape her cruel father, head of the Alliance for Planetary Health aka the Medical Mafia. She finds herself on the Galaxy Brides ship with a group of potential Qurilixen brides. She is chosen by Prince Olek, a royal ambassador. When she discovers the identity of her new husband, she is far from pleased. She wanted a simple working man. Olek, on the other hand, is happy for his mate, but confused at her resistance to their bond. While they are working through their rocky relationship, there is a spy in the castle, trouble with the Var, missing Princesses, and a horrific visit from Nadja’s father. Olek is patient, gentle, and protective. Nadja is intelligent, caring, but scared. Secrets on both sides, miscommunication, an independent-minded princess, and a frustrated, but determined prince. Enjoyable narration by Libby Hudson.
