Persuasion

A novel by the renowned English writer Jane Austen, adapted into film three times and first published posthumously. A brilliant combination of an insightful portrait of early 19th-century English gentry and an intriguing romance.

Despite her beauty, kindness, and extraordinary sensitivity, Anne Elliot remains alone, living "with her family." As a young girl, under the influence of persuasion and well-intended advice, she broke off her engagement to naval captain Frederick Wentworth. Wounded and full of sorrow, he set sail. For many years, they had no contact...

But is it possible to completely erase a great love from memory? And does time change people so much that they feel nothing for each other anymore?
