Publisher Description
Born to a life of political conflict, Perturabo was always considered a child prodigy among the people of Olympia - indeed, his philosophical and scientific works were beyond compare. But then, after his rediscovery by the Emperor and decades of thankless military campaigning on the Great Crusade, the primarch begins to resent his Legion's place in the Imperium.
When word reaches him of turmoil on his adoptive home world, he orders the Iron Warriors to abandon their campaign against the alien hrud and crush this emerging rebellion by any means necessary....

Excellent
This book was surprising in several ways. The Primarch series is at times, perfectly missable. This, was not.
A strong character study of a Demi god wracked with insecurity and paranoia. The Lord of Iron comes off as a soul wanting/needing acclaim and love and not quite getting it(excellent relationship with his adopted father:missed communication, misunderstanding, and longing from both parties).
The Iron Warriors are filled with personality and character I have yet to read elsewhere. Poetic Greeks, forced to destroy instead of build. I’ve registered to this several times. Worth it.
It should be said, The Narrator: God Emperor Keeble adds so much flavor and voice to each character. He literally needs to narrate everything. I highly recommend every Warhammer book he graces for narration. Excellent work.
Made Perturabo my favorite.
This auto book alone has made me a forever fan of the Iron Warriors and Perturabo!
