Publisher Description
When, on his twenty-first birthday, Anodos goes into his father's study and opens a drawer, a little ancient fairy lady grants his wish to go to Fairy Land. But is it all just a fantasy? A forerunner of the modern fantasy genre, "Phantastes" is a poignant, whimsical fairy tale. George MacDonald's classic from 1858 was a favourite of C.S. Lewis'.

What a beautiful book!
In the land of fairies and truth and sorrow, if read correctly, you will see the beauty of it all. Deeply profound, written in a language almost forgotten. I highly recommend this book. I stumbled upon it, by finding out this is one of CS Lewis‘s first loves. I can see now, how it led him to God. Many blessings to the reader and the author in heaven above.
