Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen was first published in 1813. The story follows Elizabeth Bennett as she deals with issues of manners, upbringing, moral rightness, education and marriage in her aristocratic society of early 19th century England. Elizabeth is the second oldest of five daughters of a country gentleman living in the fictional town of Meryton in Herfordshire, not far from London. Though the story's setting is uniquely turn of the 19th century, it remains near the top of lists of 'most loved books' and sill receives considerable attention from literary critics. To date, the book has sold some 20 million copies worldwide.

A great version at $2.95
The discount price worried me, but this is a very well-done audiobook. The narrator does a great job letting you know who is talking, while not resorting to full-on impersonations of each character. It's a subtle and fun rendition. Buy this one instead of the others for 3x as much or more. Why can't all audiobooks be priced like this?
The narrator's voice made listening very entertaining. She was very animated but not screechy like some of the others.
Enjoyed hearing the narrator tell this story.
