Austen’s classic tale of love and values in the class-conscious England of the late 18th century is her most beloved. The story follows Elizabeth Bennet, one of five sisters, as she deals with issues of manners, upbringing, morality, education, and marriage in landed-gentry society. One of the most popular novels of all time. Has been adapted to countless variations for the screen.
Her voice is definitely listenable and easy to follow but her pronunciation is pretty annoying. The editing isn’t perfect either: there are few places where she needed to pause and repeat herself, but for the price, it’s a lot better than I had expected.
Pride & Prejudice (unabridged) narrator:Victoria McGee
This is by far my favorite of Jane Austen's novels. Impeccably written, powerful and rich.
This audiobook version was really unabridged and had no defects (skipping, repeating etc).
Victoria McGee is a superb narrator!! I look for her versions every time.
Highly recommend this.
i really liked this reader.
