Based on their workshops and counseling experience, psychologists Jane B. Burka and Lenora M. Yuen offer a probing, sensitive, and at times humorous look at a problem that affects everyone: students and scientists, secretaries and executives, homemakers and salespeople. Procrastination identifies the reasons we put off tasks - fears of failure, success, control, separation, and attachment - and their roots in our childhood and adult experiences.
The authors offer a practical, tested program to overcome procrastination by achieving set goals, managing time, enlisting support, and handling stress. Burka and Yuen even provide tips on living and working with the procrastinators you may know.
Wise, effective, and easy to use, this new edition shows why for 25 years Procrastination has been an immediate must-have for anyone who puts things off until tomorrow.

I am so going to get this book…tomorrow, or next month.
How do you cure procrastination if you have to do something like buy a book and read it? Wouldn't that-- like-- never happen? Now that I've had my fun. I will buy this book and add a proper review when I have completed it. Thank you.
Update: Well, true to my word, I bought the book and listened to every word. I expected a long-winded description of procrastination, supported by assorted generic and general stories. I have a streak of procrastination, but didn't expect it to be altered in the course of 10 hours. To my shock, within an hour of starting the book, the icy heart of my procrastination had been exposed with such clarity, I understood it objectively for the first time. Past failures were suddenly understood. Very impressive. In fairness the bulk of the book covers other forms of procrastination that did not apply to me, but they may apply to you, and I assure you, if it is exposed for what it is and you can then control it, the book is more than worth the price.
As to those who criticized my initial review, grow up. My insight will do more for this work than you will ever accomplish at anything.
I'll have to get this tomorrow.
Ill do it later.
