Tessa and Milo are so cute! 😭 I’ve been rooting for both of them to get their HEAs since book one of this series and seeing it finally unfold was amazing! I absolutely adore Tessa’s kind heart and her ability to just love everyone. Milo is so strong and is just the perfect grumbly protector. I think this book is the perfect mix of sweet romance and that rip your heart out longing. It was full of twists and surprises. I definitely recommend this whole series!
Mad, Mad Love
I absolutely fell in love with Milo and Tessa! This single dad, fake fiancé, with small town vibes had me hooked from the first chapter. He’s a hard working to hard on himself dad to two kids and she’s just what everyone needs to become whole again. A.L. Jackson is a new to me author but I will be coming back for more because I need to know how the brothers came together with Tessa’s friends. Lots of twists, this was a great listen!!

Great story and narrators!
This is my first book by this author. To be honest, I only signed up to get the audiobook to review because I like the narrators. However, I will absolutely be going back and starting this series from the beginning. This is book #4 in the Redemption Hills series, but can be read alone. (Although I recommend knowing the side characters because I did feel like I was missing big important details when it came to them.)
Tessa is the definition of sunshine. She loves her job working with children, her extended family, and her brother who is disabled and living in a care home. When her d-bag boyfriend hits her after a night out, Milo finds her broken, needing a place to stay. He immediately takes her in, but he has to do everything to avoid the feelings he’s had for her since they met. He knows he’s hiding a dark past that could ruin her if she became involved. But when Tessa finds out that Milo is fighting to get his kids back from their awful grandparents, she proposes that they get fake-engaged to help his case. We know how that goes…of course the 2 end up falling in love. But will Milo’s past be too much for them to handle?
The story was amazing. The audiobook narration was absolutely spot on. I could listen to Connor Crais do just about anything. Literally, if he wanted to lecture me on the importance of changing my oil every 3,000 miles (because we know I definitely don’t) I would give him my undivided attention. And Samantha Brentmoor always kills it. She was a perfect Tessa.
