In Raise The Bar one of Peloton's first UK based instructors, Ben Alldis, tackles mindset, motivation and fitness, and shows you the power of unlocking potential, taking control of your life, and discovering and developing your talents.

Growing up, Ben was an accomplished athlete who was always looking for an opportunity to run, ride, kick a ball or compete. After graduating from university, he went on to work for a prestigious private equity firm in London, but after a pivotal year of battling skin cancer and losing one of his family members to illness, he decided to take the jump and follow his dream of helping others through health and fitness.

Raise The Bar is a narrative motivational book - with practical take homes too - that focuses on lessons and advice about drive, setbacks, defying expectations, support systems and challenging accepted behaviours, all told through stories and insight from Ben, who understands what it takes to set and achieve personal goals and who motivates others daily to do the same.

Using the principles behind maintaining a healthy mind and body, Ben wants to show you how to live beyond your limits right now and lay a positive foundation for your future self.

Fun read!

Loved everything about this book. At first, I was not huge fun of Ben. Especially for bike rides. I found him very boring. As I took more of his PZ rides and participated in PZP challenges, I realized that started growing in me. I love his music choice, and now, after reading the book I knew where it comes from. And I started liking Ben even more after the stronger you program. He is absolutely amazing, and the book is very inspiring. Thank you, Ben for being such an amazing coach. I hope that one of these days I’ll take one of your live classes. #IBurn4Tacos

A Must Read & Listen!

I first found Ben Alldis on the Peloton platform when I joined in 2021. His attitude & motivation when teaching a class truly inspires you. Someone I’ve followed from the beginning of my Peloton journey & I found myself consistently taking his classes, that’s due to personality and realness.
This book shows you exactly that, Ben provides a guide/tips how to truly build yourself to be a stronger person. “Raise The Bar” can have so many meanings, but overall this book is filled with motivation & is a tool kit to strive to find that best version of yourself. Ben’s story & mindset on life takes you on a journey that will leave you motivated & wanting you to find that best version yourself & for your loved ones around you. It’s a book for everyone & keeps you engaged. From the motivation, tips for improving overall well-being & how to approach life during its challenges Ben’s coaching & advice written in the book could not have been more perfect. I’ve truly enjoyed reading Ben’s story & will be taking his advice and applying it to everyday life!

My bar can be higher.

Ben is one of my favorite peloton instructors as I felt I could connect with his style of training especially virtually during the pandemic. Listening to Raise the Bar I understood why it was so easy to connect and relate, specifically as he discussed the importance of core values. The book started off slow for me as he talked about growing up and being a strong athlete (I couldn’t relate) but it set the ground work needed to understand where our personal motivations start and how our core beliefs begin. The book gained momentum as he built toward becoming a peloton instructor and the bumps along the way. It gave me a lot to think about on pushing myself out of my comfort zone and has me evaluating risks to truly find my passion professionally. His vulnerability in the final chapters hit me hard as they reflect a lot of my own challenges with family fighting cancer and being my best self for them. This book leaves me feeling motivated and I’m ready to take new steps in becoming the best version of myself. Thanks coach.
