Publisher Description

Sasha.

He's dark and mysterious. Quiet and lethal.

An Irish mobster.

Pure sin wrapped up in a beautiful package.

But there's also something off about him.

He doesn't feel anything. He shows no emotions.

Sometimes, I question his humanity.

He hasn't spoken to me in two years. Not a single word.

But we share a secret, he and I.

And if it ever comes out, I have no doubt in my mind....

He won't have a problem killing me, too.

Ronan.

I've slain for her. I'll do it again.

When it comes to Sasha, there isn't a line I won't cross.

I watch her. She doesn't know it.

She thinks I hate her. Sometimes, I think I might, too.

But I'm always there, lurking in the shadows.

Craving her. Trying to keep the beast within at bay.

I'll keep her safe. I'll slaughter anyone who tries to hurt her.

The only thing I can't do...is protect her from myself.

This is a full-length standalone novel full of hot Irish guys with accents. Dark mafia themes throughout. HEA included.

Narrator Review:
Tracy Marks is the same narrator as in book one and she was very consistent with her continuation of the characters in this series. I loved the accents and I would recommend this audible book.

Story Review:
Reaper is the continuation to a dark mob series that focus on one couple, however all the characters are in each book. You could read this as a standalone but I would recommend starting with book one.

I love how characters surprise me. In the first book, I wasn't really a fan of Ronin. He was pretty harsh with Mac and that didn't endear him to me. In this book? Wow! There was so much more to Ronin that completely changed my mind about him.

I didn't like that Ronin purposely stayed away from Sasha for so long, but when you learn his past... it makes so much sense. His childhood was just heartbreaking. It explained so much about who he is. You can't help but fall for him and want him to find that love he never had.

Sasha and Ronin both deserved to be happy. They have been through so much that most people would have given up on life long ago. Their story just makes me ready to jump right into the next book and see what we are gonna get next.

I purchased the kindle version of this book, however I was given this free review audio book copy at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Heart and feelings

I really enjoyed listening to this audiobook.  It was more heart and feelings than mob story.  Which was good and bad.  I think I would have liked it better if there was a little more action but regardless it was still good.  The love story between Sasha and Ronan was intense and full of a lot of confusion.  It was a bit frustrating at times and I am not sure how Sasha put up with Ronan, I know I couldn’t.  He really didn’t seem to have any redeeming qualities other than he was hot.  At least at first.  Yet by the end, he did grow on me.  I really liked Sasha’s character, however, the storyline around her mother just about gutted me.  Hit way too close to home.

Tracy Marks does an excellent job with accents, and it is a joy to listen to her read this story.  I can’t wait for the next one.  I am giving Reaper: Boston Underworld, Book 2, 4 Boundless stars, I really enjoyed it.
