Ride the Wind

I am 38 years old and have been an avid reader since first grade. I read this book, an old beat up copy found in the bottom of a box of books I bought at a flea market, with its first few pages and entire last chapter missing. Nevertheless, from the beginning I was caught up in this story,at times forgetting everything around me in my haste to find out what happens next. It is told in such a way that you are there with the Parkers as they are raided by the Comanche, you can feel the fear of the captives, and you end up wanting Naduah to stay with her Indian family. This book is the most REAL book I've ever read. I read my dog-eared copy and am looking forward for a shiny new copy to arrive any day. Worth the money and the time over and over!
