Publisher Description
From USA Today and Amazon Charts best-selling author Meghan Quinn comes a new fake dating, standalone sports romance featuring the hockey men you can’t get enough of and love. This steamy, age-gap romantic comedy will bring all the laughs while making your cheeks blush at the same time.
Running into your ex is never ideal.
Running into your ex who is now dating your nemesis is a literal nightmare.
That’s how I found myself in a sheer panic, reaching for the closest guy at the bar and kissing him. And to my delight he was easily the most attractive man I’ve ever seen.
The only problem is, when I tried to walk away after thanking him for his help, he stopped me with three life-changing words....
“You owe me.”
That’s how I found myself, a college girl, in a fake relationship with a professional hockey player ten years older than me.
At first it was easy.
He helped me with my internship.
I helped keep his ex away from him.
We were becoming fast friends.
It wasn’t until he started staying the night at my dorm did the rules of our arrangement become complicated.
Now my feelings are involved and even though I kissed the right man at the right time, I’m worried he’s just waiting for the clock to run out.
Customer Reviews
Amazing!
I loved this book! It was quite funny and had plenty of spicy scenes. I’ll be listening to it all over again and then I plan to listen to “Kiss and Don’t Tell”that follows Winnie and Pacey from this book 💗
Loved it!
I love this series so far. It isn’t just a romance but a bromance. I love how close these teammates are and I laughed so hard, I almost peed my pants.
Chicken Tenders Forever!
Oh, Meghan Quinn does it again! I seriously don't know how she comes up with the stuff in her books, but each one is funnier than the one before it.
Return to the Vancouver Agitators series with this hilarious age gap, fake relationship romance between Silas Taters and college student Ollie, who has zero clue who he is when she accosts him at a bar to pretend to be her boyfriend to save face in front of her ex, who is now dating her work nemesis. But before we even get to that scrumptious meet-cute, prepare to have your heart broken wide open when Silas gets his heart broken in the prologue. It's no wonder the guy keeps everyone at an arm's length. But after Silas pretends to be Ollie's boyfriend, he thinks that having her as his fake girlfriend may be just what he needs now that his ex is working for the Agitators organization.
An awesome friendship forms between Ollie and Silas as they get to know one another, with hilarious scenes involving chicken tenders, donkeys, and the zoo. The sexual chemistry between them is undeniable and the more they try to fight it, the more they find it nearly impossible to stay away from each other. The slow burn between Silas and Ollie is well worth the wait, and it is explosive when they finally give in. I listened to this story on audio, and I may or may not have done a second listen to Chapter 17 as a read-along with the e-book because Joe Arden is just that dang sexy!
Then there is the conflict between Ollie and Silas, and the miscommunication was heartbreaking because the issue at hand played on all of his fears and insecurities, and obliterated her life at the same time. I was in tears reading those few chapters!
I loved how Joe Arden and Stella Hunter voiced Silas and Ollie, and their duet narration just made it that much more enjoyable. There are also some cameo appearances by JP Cane and Ryot Bisley, tying this book to that world.
I loved Silas and Ollie's story, and will be keeping it on my re-read list! I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.
