The Resistance has been reborn. But although Rey and her fellow heroes are back in the fight, the war against the First Order, now led by Supreme Leader Kylo Ren, is far from over. Just as the spark of rebellion is rekindling, a mysterious signal broadcasts throughout the galaxy, with a chilling message: Emperor Palpatine, long thought defeated and destroyed, is back from the dead.
Has the ancient Lord of the Sith truly returned? Kylo Ren cuts a swath of destruction across the stars, determined to discover any challenge to his control over the First Order and his destiny to rule over the galaxy—and crush it completely. Meanwhile, to discover the truth, Rey, Finn, Poe, and the Resistance must embark on the most perilous adventure they have ever faced.
Featuring all-new scenes adapted from never-before-seen material, deleted scenes, and input from the filmmakers, the story that began in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and continued in Star Wars: The Last Jedi reaches an astounding conclusion.
APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
If you came out of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker full of questions about the movie’s complex world, this is the book for you. The story picks up after the events of The Last Jedi, as Rey, Finn, Poe, and the rest of the Resistance race towards a final battle against the First Order, Kylo Ren, and a foe they long thought dead. We loved all the extra scenes, especially those featuring General Leia—they add mind-blowing depth and fascinating new context to everything from Emperor Palpatine’s shocking return to Chewbacca’s early relationship with Kylo Ren. Aided by dramatic background music and stellar sound effects, veteran Star Wars narrator Marc Thompson does justice to the epic conclusion of a saga that began all the way back in 1977. This audiobook adds incredible new insight into a world we know and love, instantly transporting us to a galaxy far, far away.

Infinitely Better
It took me a while longer to finish than intended, restarted after break.. Where I was so disappointed in TLJ book extras, Not so much with the Rise Of Skywalker. I love the fact that readers get more than movie goers, and while not as well written as Resistance Reborn, ROS is a quick, easy and over all enjoyable read.. I won’t give all the extras away but personally, how much would it have cost Disney to put Rey to hearing Ben afterwards or Luke speaking to her on Tatooine in the movie? Seriously ! Two little things would have really helped a lot of fan’s opinion of the movie. Especially when they did not give deleted scenes in the Digital Release. While trying to temp fans to read and use their imagination is beyond commendable. The sad fact even in isolation, too many won’t read or even listen their games connect them to friends. I do recommend reading ROS novelazation. It has more heart than the movie by far! I’d give 4 1/2 stars but can’t.
