I had the privilege of reading and listening to this on audiobook the night it dropped and let me just say, they are both exceptional. Narrators John Lane and Maxine Mitchell are two of my go-to people who have such great tonality when bringing characters to life. John’s voice is like a fine wine that melodiously tickles your ears while Maxine is the added splash that blends perfectly. Ms. Moreland has once again outdone herself with Roman. He is such a formidable man with a heart of gold that he just needs to realize it. Effie is a woman who evokes feelings in Roman and watching this relationship evolve is nothing short of an addictive fix that you just keep wanting more of. I highly recommend this storyline filled with intrigue, drama, betrayal and twists and turns that you will not be able to put down.
