A classic staged performance of Shakespeare's
Romeo and Juliet by the Old Vic Company. Starring Claire Bloom and Alan Bandel.
Good,could be better.
The voice acting in the play is very well done.Very dramatic and on-point.This play is an abridged version though. Some lines are missing and, if memory serves well, one scene is missing.Sound quality could be better.Sometimes when listening to the play you can hear some sort of crackling sound in the background. Its probably due to the age of the recording though.I do recommend the audiobook solely on the voice acting alone,it was done quite well.
The voice acting is fine and I like that there are sound effects and music in places. I don't even mind that there is crackling in the recording (because it's old), no big deal. But I am reading along in the book while listening to the recording and whole passages are skipped and others are shortened. This is not what I consider to be unabridged. There are also some editing issues where a word or sentence begins and is abruptly cut off. I'd say spend an extra couple of bucks and get a better recording if you can.
