Publisher Description
An unputdownable novel from master of suspense Noelle W. Ihli, where two women find themselves on the run for their lives...
A rural country road. No cell signal for miles. A terrifying game of cat-and-mouse.
By the time Laura and Olivia notice the headlights tailing them through the hills, it’s too late. What seems, at first, like a case of road rage quickly unfolds into a heart-pounding chase—and a battle for survival.
Who are the men in the truck? What do they want? And can Laura and Olivia outrun—and outsmart—them long enough to call for help, even if it means taking their chances in the hills on foot?
As their situation grows more perilous, the girls realize that the real terror has only just begun. But flight won’t save them from their pursuers. If they’re going to make it home alive, they'll have to fight.

Just Read the Physical Book
Such a good story but wowza that was hard to get through with this voice. I had to listen on 1.2 speed just to get past the strange intonation and lilt the narrator had. You know it’s bad when you hope one of the characters dies so you don’t have to listen to the narrator do a particular voice anymore 😅
The narration…whew
People are not kidding about how bad the narration is. The uptick after every single word was about to make my brain explode. I put it on 1.3 speed to make it at all tolerable.
Great book but narrator is painful
This really is a great story. Hooks you from the very first chapter, lots of twists and turns, satisfying ending. But the narrator….. sounds like she’s reading a physics text book and over-enunciates all of her words. She didn’t sound at all natural. If I had listened to a sample first I wouldn’t have bought the book. Again, this book is really good so if you can read the physical copy, I do recommend!
