Solid story
Solid story with good writing! Well built characters and town too. My only gripe is a personal one so i won’t bother putting it here as it pertains to me specifically but all in all this is a book worth reading!
One of my favorite scary reads.
Yes, it’s dated. But I enjoy revisiting 1975 and it’s an effectively creepy vampire story! My favorite Stephen King because it’s the first of his books I read as a young adult. BUT the narration is pretty mediocre. I agree with the reviewer that listening to this book is “better than Ambien.”
Never Understood this Book Popularity
Is it a good book? Kind of. Is it a good Stephen King book? Absolutely not. Avid King readers will be disappointed by the blinders of nostalgia when revisiting this overhyped “classic”. Kind of like the disappointment I felt when I read that Stephen King is in the kid diddler club along with Trump. Ironic huh?
