After months of long-distance communication, actress Parker Collins and artist Grayson Lacroux finally plan to reconnect in the seaside town of Wellfleet, Massachusetts. But Parker never shows, and weeks pass without a word, leaving Grayson to believe he's misinterpreted their budding relationship.
Parker has been running on autopilot ever since she lost her friend, mentor, and the only family she's ever known, Bert Stein. Armed with junk food, tequila, and her big, lovable dog, she's prepared to hole up and mourn - and determined to mend a fence Bert had never been able to with his estranged and bitter brother. But Parker didn't count on the sinfully hot artist she's been fantasizing about for nearly a year walking in on her grief-induced drunken night.
When Grayson stumbles across Parker, he has no idea what to make of the gorgeous blonde who blew him off despite the heat sizzling between them. But that doesn't stop him from feeling protective of the woman who's consumed his thoughts for months, and when he learns of Parker's plans to confront an angry old man, he refuses to leave her side. As Parker's past unfolds, they're led on an unexpected journey of discovery. Their connection deepens, and late-night fantasies become passionate realities, until good intentions spark painful secrets, threatening the love they've found.
Parker & Grayson
I listened to the audiobook of Seaside Lovers by Melissa Foster and narrated by BJ Harrison.
Parker Collins is a famous actress taking a much needed break after losing someone very dear to her, her mentor and the closest thing to family she had, Bert Stein. Hiding away in Wellfleet, MA, where she feels free to grieve in solitude with no one but her dog, Christmas.
Grayson Lacroux is the artist who has been corresponding with Parker while working on her project for the past year. They separately fell for each other over months of communications, planning to meet, but Parker didn’t show. Then by accident he happens upon her in her hour of desperate grief and what a mess she is, surrounded by junk food, chocolate and tequila.
So begins their journey together. Grayson stands by her side, helping her carry out a promise she made to herself to meet Bert’s estranged brother, for his sake and oddly enough, for her own as well. I especially enjoyed the meetings between the three different people and what each walked away with after.
Grayson and Parker’s chemistry was immediate, but I loved how Grayson wanted to know everything about the woman who captured his heart. As pasts are revealed and secrets exposed, their new love is threatened.
Once again Melissa Foster takes us on an adventure toward HEA. These two characters are up there with my other favorites.
This book is a beautiful love story woven with loss, new beginnings and of course genuine love.
B.J. Harrison does his usual wonderful job of breathing life into these complex characters with real-life issues.
Parker & Grayson
Melissa Foster, you have won my heart with Grayson! There have been wonderful men in the Seaside Summers series, but Grayson really wormed his way in and I think he is going to stay. Grayson and Parker have been emailing regarding some work Grayson has been doing for her charity. They have discovered each other through their correspondence and have decided to meet up. But hings never go as planned, and when Gray finally meets her, she is not in a good place. Together they work through family, grief, secrets and find their true love. One of the things I love best about this series is the community and we get to see some of our favorites. The setting in Massachusetts is gorgeous and brings us there to enjoy our friends and the beach. It's a fantastic addition to the series.
BJ Harrison continues his wonderful narration of this series. He has such a calming voice that I enjoy. His pacing flows and his voices as smooth. For me he is this group of friends and find him providing hours of entertainment.
Seaside Lovers is book seven in the Seaside Summers series. Parker and Grayson's story just oozes emotions, and I was totally hooked. This story was one of the best ones, and I highly recommend it.
