Seaside Whispers
I love single parent falls in love stories. This one does not disappoint. Mira Savage is a single mother to uber smart Hagen. Sweet, precocious with an unending thirst for knowledge, he is always wanting to know why and asking a million questions. Mira works as the bookkeeper at Lacroux hardware and has had a crush on Matt Lacroux since they met a year ago at an engagement party. But the sexy professor teaches at Princeton and her life is on the Cape, so they remain friends despite their intense mutual attraction, spending time together whenever he visits.
Fate brings them together when Matt takes a three month sabbatical and returns home, giving him the opportunity to move past the friend zone. What ensues is a journey into love and the forging of a family. Matt is a perfect role model for Hagen, patient, kind and so selfless. He has his own issues to deal with and you get to see the Lacroux family dynamic. Mira and Hagen are already a part of it and Mira always puts Hagen first in all things. Watching her take a small slice of happiness for herself and learn to trust in Matt and her own feelings is so relevant in today’s world. I think single parents can truly relate to the push and pull of wanting something for yourself, while always protecting your child.
I listened to the audio book and BJ Harrison did a great job of bringing them to life. I also read the book which always gives me great pleasure to do both. This is a sweet story, with plenty of passion and romance. You won’t be disappointed.
Matt & Mira (And Hagen!)
The last of the Seaside Summers series has warmed my heart and just had me falling in love. Melissa Foster brings us Matt and Mira. This heartwarming romance is the kind of story I love to listen to on weekend, bringing a smile to my face and that feeling of happiness you can't forget. Matt comes back to Cape Cod on sabbatical from Princeton to write a book. He is taking a look at his life and deciding what course to venture on next. He also is hoping to see Mira. When she is in need of some help, he is there to fix the shower head, and their passion comes alive. But not only do we have this incredible couple. We have 6 year old Hagen who steals the show. Smart, inventive and curious, you would think he is Matt's son, and these two are quickly thick as thieves. And what can top that? Nothing but getting to see all of the Seaside couples, and enjoy where they are and what is coming next. It's a wonderful listen and will make you feel happy!
BJ Harrison completes this series with his fabulous narration. He is the voice of the Seaside series and creates a feeling of continuity throughout. I enjoyed his voices, and thought he was on point with each character. He is a great storyteller and am always watching out for more from him.

Just when you think it can't get any better Melissa Foster writes a book that excels. I fell in love with Matt Lacroux immediately. He is a dream come true: smart, sexy and sensitive. Mira is a single mom who works in Matt's dad's hardware store. Mira’s son Hagen is so much like Matt. He is super smart and needs to be challenged. The relationship that develops throughout is a pleasure to read. Mira’s son Hagen plays an important role that bonds Matt’s and Mira’s hearts. Follow them along in this beautiful story. The narration by BJ Harrison is on point. I loved how he voiced the characters and especially Hagen. He truly is an exceptional narrator and made it so easy to follow. Kudos to both author and narrator.
