In his stunning memoir, Confessions of an Economic Hit Man, John Perkins detailed his former role as an "economic hit man" in the international corporate skulduggery of a de facto American Empire. Now Perkins zeroes in on hot spots around the world, drawing on interviews to examine the current geopolitical crisis, and providing a compassionate plan to reimagine our world.

Perkins book offers great insight into how the US & the CIA uses economic pressure around the world and why "Corporatocracy" is so despised. I highly recommend this book.
Charlatan in Sheep's Clothing
I don't get it. I read "Confessions of an Economic Hit Man". I was struck by the arrogance of Mr. Perkins. He complains of being used as a tool by greedy corporate types, who, surprise surprise, worked in part for the US government! Really?!? This was a surprise? The government lying, cheating, stealing....huh, who'da thought! Yet Mr. Perkins goes into great detail how HE helped bring this about. No one pointed a gun at his head, none of his kids were kidnapped and held for ransom should he fail to succeed.... He took the job, he took the money, and now he's writing books about what a soundrel he was to have done it and that we should be upset with our government. I'm upset with Mr. Perkins. The book was badly conceived and so too, apparently, was his career. Don't give this guy a second thought. There's so much better info out there than this. Don't pay for his soapbox!
