Not for the average “investor”
This audiobook was fantastic. After buying the physical sixth edition I needed the audiobook because of my reading problems. So a person like me listen to the audiobook while following along in the physical book, making notes in the physical book along the way. The sixth edition is quite comprehensive. while some of the information is dated one can extrapolate a lot of gems out of this book. Whether you are investing in bonds, preferred stocks, warrants and options, or common stocks, this book is great for you.
I would recommend a listener or the reader of this book to work their way up from Benjamin‘s Graham other most popular book the intelligent investor. If you have a grasp the teachings in the intelligent investor than this book will be the start of becoming well competent security analysis and investor.
My recommendation is that you not only listen to this audiobook but get the physical book which includes a CD that contains some of the chapters and the appendix. If the entire book was placed in the physical version it would’ve been about 1000 pages. Therefore you get over 700 pages in the physical book and the rest of the materials on the CD.
Finally, I can say without a doubt that this will start me on my way to truly being a value investor for the rest of my investing career.
