Sweet with Heat: Seaside Summers features a group of fun, flirty, and emotional friends who gather each summer at their Cape Cod cottages. They're sassy, flawed, and so easy to relate to, you'll be begging to enter their circle of friends!
Seized by Love at Seaside by Addison Cole is the sweet edition of New York Times best-selling author Melissa Foster's steamy romance novel, Seized by Love (The Ryders). The stories and characters remain the same and convey all of the passion you expect between two people in love, without any explicit scenes or harsh language.
In Seized by Love at Seaside....
Lizzie Barber runs a successful flower shop by day and secretly hosts the Naked Baker webcast at night to help pay for her younger sister's education. To keep friends and family from finding out about her sexy secret, she's put her social life on hold until her sister's education is paid off and she can stop filming the webcast.
Blue Ryder fell hard for Lizzie when he met her a year ago, and he hasn't been able to get her off his mind since. Everything about the feisty little brunette cuts straight to his heart. Though Lizzie has turned down every invitation he's extended - Blue is not about to give up trying.
Renovating Lizzie's kitchen brings Blue further into Lizzie's life, and the oven is not the only thing heating up. One night and one powerful kiss changes everything. But when Lizzie's secret is revealed and the safe bubble she's hidden in shatters, true love may not be enough to put the pieces back together.

He wouldn't give up on her no matter how long it took. She finally gives in but keeps her secret from him. They grow closer and cheesecake her secret and he almost left but the love he has for her made him return. They grow deeper in love and make it thru the worst of times. Beautiful love story.
Loved the narrator
Seized by Love
Lizzie Barber has been carrying around a secret. Not only is she a florist by day, but she's also host of The Naked Baker webcast. It's something she started back in college after her family fell on hard times and she needed to pay for school. Now, it's something she's continued to do to help her sister through school as well. No one knows. With her super conservative and strict family should couldn't even fathom what they would think. Plus, despite earning good money - enough to pay off her debts - Lizzie has always been a little ashamed of parading around nearly naked in front of a camera. Her sister only has a couple more years of college left, and then Lizzie plans to hang up her apron for good.
Sounds easy, except when she meets Blue Ryder. Blue has had a thing for Lizzie ever since he met her at a wedding nearly a year ago. He's been asking her out ever since, and Lizzie has been turning him down ever since. He doesn't know why, and while he's prepared to step back, he's not giving up by any means. When Lizzie finally agrees to go out with him, their chemistry is off the charts.
But can Lizzie and Blue make it work with secrets between them?
This has probably been the biggest surprise for me so far in this series. Surprise in a good way. Melissa Moran continues to be a wonderful narrator, and I continue to love how she repeatedly makes each new character their own with varying tone and inflection. She has a wonderful voice for audiobooks and I look forward to each one I listen to.
The surprise comes in the form of Blue and Lizzie. With these two characters, and with Seized by Love in general, we have officially moved away from our core group of people who originated the series. None of them appear this time around. This doesn't include Sky who was previously a character on the periphery, but even then Sky only appears minimally.
If you're new to the series, Lizzie and Blue are the perfect place to start because, again, they move away from the original characters. At first, I wasn't so sure about this. I've really enjoyed having everyone show up in some form or another and even when it was a different character's turn to shine, Addison Cole managed to make those characters just as important. Here, though, I really felt like we were moving on and it worked out great!
I could really feel the emotions surrounding Lizzie's secret. The secret that creates the conflict for the entire story. I thought that Addison Cole did a great job in making it something that brought up a lot of interesting ideas about values. Lizzie's parent's conservatism is a major thing because they would view what she does as degrading and wrong, regardless of the reasons for her doing it to begin with. But others would feel like Lizzie should feel proud for what she's able to accomplish regardless of how she got there. Addison Cole really gives every different viewpoint in regards to what people think about Lizzie's job and she does it in a way where you understand where people are coming from even if you don't share their same views.
What stuck a little for me was the fact that Lizzie is doing this (now anyway) for her sister. Yet her sister is kind of oblivious to all of it. I mean, it would be one thing if her sister specifically asked for Lizzie's help, but she didn't. Lizzie freely decided to help with her sister's tuition, yet no one is wondering how she's able to do so. I mean we don't hear about how much Lizzie contributes (if it's everything or just a good portion) so in my mind I felt like she was giving a considerable amount, and the fact that no one was asking how, or making she that Lizzie wasn't doing so as a detriment to her own living situation or business, just didn't flow right for me.
Despite this, I felt like the relationship between Blue and Lizzie has probably been my favorite since Tony and Amy and it wasn't even one I saw coming at first or even knew I needed. They work so well together and I really liked how Addison Cole showed Blue handling Lizzie's secret.
I've really enjoyed this series, but I have to say Blue and Lizzie's story has really made me excited to see where things go from here and which characters we'll encounter next.
Can Blue get past Lizzie’s “interesting” way to make mo way?
Lizzie Barber runs the local flower shop and Blue Ryder has been her friend since they met at the quadruple wedding of their friends in Seaside. Lizzie has had butterflies with him ever since. Blue is currently helping Lizzie with repairs in her home since he is a contractor, specifically her oven.
Will Blue and Lizzie take the opportunity to move their relationship forward or will Lizzie’s secret webcast, break up their relationship?
Is Blue able to accept the loving reasoning that Lizzie has this “interesting” webcast or will it become a deal breaker for him?
Melissa Moran does a great job narrating, especially some of the more interesting scenes with frosting. Listening to Seized by Love is a wonderful way to learn about Lizzie and Blue and me able to immerse yourself completely in their world.
Seized by Love at Seaside is a nice story of love and how far one will go for their family but also confronting the realities of technology and the role they play in our life. And a story that includes a hunk like Blue is never bad!
