Ellen DeGeneres's winning, upbeat candor has made her show one of the most popular, resilient, and honored daytime shows on the air, and her life makes for great (and very funny) reading. Relatable, her first stand-up special in 15 years, aired on Netflix in 2018.
"I've experienced a whole lot the last few years and I have a lot to share. So I hope that you'll take a moment to sit back, relax and enjoy the words I've put together for you in this book. I think you'll find I've left no stone unturned, no door unopened, no window unbroken, no rug unvacuumed, no ivories untickled. What I'm saying is, let us begin, shall we?"
Seriously... I'm Kidding is a lively, hilarious, and often sweetly poignant look at the life of the much-loved entertainer as she opens up about her personal life, her talk show, and more.

I needed this book!
I have been going through a lot of stress. Today I heard Ellen say the audiobook was on I Tunes. I bought the book tonight and I have laughed for over an hour. When I get to watch Ellen's show, she always makes me forget the problems I am going through. If you are going through tough stuff in life, I reccommend this audio book. It just might give you reason to not give up like it has done for me tonight.
I really enjoyed listening to this book! Ellen does a great job reading it, much funnier to hear it in her own voice. Very random but that's part of its charm. If you're looking for a nice, happy book this is for you.
I am a very big fan of Ellen and I couldn't wait to listen to this book, but I am on chapter 18 and I am beyond bored with it. Some of the chapters are pointless and last only seconds. I think she is one of the funniest ladies ever, but this book is uninteresting and honestly I don't think I'll even finish it.
