Quinn & Costa hit the mark again!
Seven Girls Gone by Allison Brennan is the fourth book in the Quinn/Costa series about a FBI mobile response team of which Kara Quinn and Matthias Costa are members. They travel to Louisiana to help a Navy friend of one of the team members, where there were five “girls” dead and two missing and strong suspicions of public corruption. Kara, Mathias, and the mobile response team assist this friend in investigating these unsolved murders to bring the perpetrators to justice and discover the underlying motive for them. The book also touches on the relationship developing between Kara and Matt, but only in the background of the mystery.
As I have always found, this author crafted a well-written romantic suspense novel. It was a riveting story which evolved in a logical and realistic way. I had three preceding novels to become attached and familiar with the characters in the mobile response team and the evolving love story between Kara and Matt. I have never found this author to disappoint and this series continues to hit the mark. I really enjoy the series that Ms. Brennan writes with the same main characters. There is one hot passage, but the the primary focus of the story is the criminal investigation. The audiobook was really enjoyable; the narrator excellent. I highly recommend this audiobook for fans of this author, romantic suspense stories, and suspense/thrillers in general.I would give this audiobook 4.5 stars.
