Queue the Imperial March
If you love Star Wars, this is a must. Not only is the plot beyond captivating, Sam Witwer makes you feel like you’re listening to a more grown up version of the Clone Wars (he is the voice of Maul and the Emperor after all). Top tier narration that makes you hope for more Witwer narrations in the future.
SAM!!!
This audiobook is phenomenal, and I can’t believe I just now heard of this. I constantly search for all of the latest Marc Thompson audiobooks and I had no idea Sam narrated this one. As soon as I heard the intro, I knew I was in for a treat. Loved Sam’s voiceovers in the clone wars as the emperor, maul, and the dark side sith, as well as starkiller. We need more Maul books, and Sam totally needs to do the narration!!!
Now we just need the Master Chief books to be narrated by Steve himself, he did a great job on the YouTube shorts.

Story was 3/5 stars. Sam Witwer’s incredible narration in the audiobook bumped it up to 4/5 stars.
Palpatine being given the Sith holocron by Lorn Pavan, with the false pretense it would be safely delivered to the Jedi was a cool twist… just as he was running away from Maul near his rendezvous point with his master. Tragically ironic way to secure the success of Maul’s mission without ever realizing it.
