Shadows in the Salvage

Blood is thicker than water. Alan’s thicker than both.

Hand on heart, swear to the gods – the crew of the Silver Hart are totally legit now. There’s way more money in running a reputable salvage company than in space-piracy, and it comes with only a fraction of the risk. It’s hard to miss crawling through dusty tombs when you’re up to your eyeballs in credits and rum punch.

But when a routine callout to a derelict shuttle reveals a female Alan cowering in its cruddy cargo hold, and they trace the vehicle back to an unscrupulous somnium trader named Vickers – a cutthroat who’ll do whatever it takes to profit from any secrets the Alans might be hiding – Sheni and the crew soon find themselves forced into old habits to survive.

Alan might be the densest element in the universe, but he’s family – and nobody messes with the Green Meanie. Perhaps Vickers should have picked on someone his own size…
