Roan Stole My Soul!
𝙲𝚊𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚒𝚗𝚎 𝙲𝚘𝚠𝚕𝚎𝚜 has managed to do it again! She has created a book/audiobook that instantly hooks me. Instantly cocoons me and keeps me toasty & warm until the last word is read. As with books 1-3, I fell hard her for writing style and her masterfully chiseled characters!
Aspen & Roan. *swoon* Can I fall any harder for them? Aspen and Cady are truly amazing characters. When Roan enters the picture for them, my heart fluttered and I was rooting for them the entire time! Their story unfolded as I walked hand in hand with them and oh what a captivating story it was! Seeing Roan with Cady? He turned me into a mushy mess with that! And his devotion to Aspen......🫠!!!
Now, let's talk Maxine Mitchell & Zachary Webber as narrators. I could not have picked better narrators for them if I tried! This duo was an absolute delight to listen to and their portrayals of Aspen, Roan, and even Cady was sweet perfection! Definitely happy I got to listen to them!
This book is a small town romance filled with beautiful characters, a touch of suspenseful moments and a man who will steal your soul! I love 𝙲𝚊𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚒𝚗 𝙲𝚘𝚠𝚕𝚎𝚜 work and this one will forever hold a special place in my heart!
A great love with a twist!
Oh my gosh, I have waited for this book for what seems like forever and it didn’t disappoint! I love these two. I love their tenacity and their love, their protection of each other and others. Theirs is a love we dream about mixed in with a twist I didn’t see coming!
This audiobook was AMAZING!!
This book was EVERYTHING!! I love the story from beginning to end I listened to the audiobook first because the narrators bring a little extra feel to the story and let me tell you... I'm a complete goner for Aspen and Roan.
Aspen and her daughter came to the town Cedar Ridge for a fresh start. Aspen keeps her previous life hidden from her friends and residents of this small town, her only concern is to protect little Cady.
Roan Hartley wants to be left alone, his reservation towards people come from something traumatic that happened to him, not his family or friends know how he became the man he is. He is kind of the town's grump and he likes it that way but when he is call for a deer rescue and encounters the beautiful woman trying to help the deer something in him happens and when he meets her daughter Cady he knows he will do everything in his power to keep them save specially after finding out that Aspen's old life is coming back to hunt her.
I really loved how Aspen and Cady brought Roan back to life, it was beautiful to see their interactions and how Aspen and Cady also found a family in the Hartley's clan.
With all of Catherine Cowles stories you know there is suspense and twist and turns you don't see coming until the very end, but also a beautiful love story that will keep you captivated from beginning to end. Shadows of you was the perfect addition to this amazing series.
