Publisher Description
Welcome to Paradise. When a stranger named Marsuvees Black appears in Paradise, he brings with him a message of hope and love. Or is it death and hate? Perhaps neither–perhaps both. He seems to know too much about the town’s many unspoken secrets, and he himself holds the greatest secret of them all. As black clouds and sandstorms envelop the town, it becomes almost impossible to get in or out. It quickly becomes apparent that Paradise is being isolated for a reason. But why? Ted Dekker’s latest adrenaline-laced thriller has been proclaimed as his most original, daring tale to date. A tale that will take you further than anything he’s ever written. A tale that will leave you wanting more.

Great story but….
I love the book, the narrator reads it well; however the audio is rather quiet compared to other audiobooks. There is also a couple times throughout the book where the audio glitches and stutters enough that it’s difficult to understand. Neither lasts more than a minute but it’s still a little annoying. That’s really the other two things that keep me from rating it 5 stars. Still worth keeping and likely listening to more than once.
Good story, but mediocre audiobook
The story is great! So no problems with the story!! I have read this book before and wanted an audiobook to listen to it in the car/plane and such. However I am rather disappointed that this cost $30 and the audio skips, glitches, and there are times where the narrator repeats himself. The narrator himself is not bad sounding and is easy to listen to, I just wish that the audio quality was better, or had better proofing and checking for the many skips/glitches. Just getting through chapter 6, and the audio gets way louder halfway through, and has sections that skip and glitch. It takes away from the immersion of the story and doesn’t do this book justice.
