Far out and way up
Jeschonek goes to places other sci-fi writers don’t — and you’ll be enthralled that he took you there. Whether it’s personifying individual minutes on the clock as unique characters, or telling us what a certain enhanced male body part might think of its owner, you’re going to get some truly original tales with arresting details you will marvel at. While there are some familiar sic-fi tropes here, Jeschonek’s stories really are quite novel in their exploration of themes, settings, and characters that will make your grin and think, “How did he come up with this stuff?”
Aiding and abetting Jeschonek’s far out narratives is Ben Gorman’s wonderfully accessible narration and character interpretations. The audio fidelity is superb, and Gorman’s voice work strikes just the right balance between representing Jeschonek’s voice, and adding some of his own style to juice it up a bit. He brings these stories dimension and heart. Great combo here — give us some more please!
