Publisher Description
When a vampire serial killer sends Anita Blake a grisly souvenir from Las Vegas, she has to warn Sin City's local authorities what they're dealing with. Only it's worse than she thought. Police officers and one executioner have been slain-paranormal style.

I love this book. It kept my attention and had me wanting more like a drug. My one beef was the narrator, I couldn't get use to her voice. Maybe I'm being biased, but Cynthia Halloway's voice is more suited. Happy listening....
The Executioner Has Returned!!
I love vampire books... I love the Anita Blake series with all the vampires, lycanthropes, and humans thrown together for action and serial killer mystery! The series has been, for the last few books, going more into Anita's love life troubles and sexual escapades, but this book has brought her back closer to what she was at the beginning of the series and focusing more on the policework.
I love seeing the growth between Anita and Edward's friendship and how that plays with dealing with Olaf and the Vegas police. There was more focus on th character's processes in this book and touched on some really good points (ie. the talk with Wicked and Truth).
The narrator for this volume was outstanding! Granted, Cynthia Holloway has done a great job for prior books, but there was always something that was missing when she performed characters with accents (Jean-Claude, Byron, London, etc). Kimberly Alexis nails Jead-Claude's french accent and tone of voice! I love the subtlety of the Wicked Truth's voices as well as Requiem. Probably my only complaint was Edward's slightly accented voice when he wasn't "Ted" (but that was probably just to help the listener not get confused).
All that said, this is an outstanding edition to the Anita Blake universe and I look forward to diving back into it many times!
I love this book
This book has it all action, romance and lots of vampires. I don't want to give anything away but it one of the best in her Antia Blake books You can't turn it off because you wantt o see what going to happen next.
