Publisher Description
The Avalon Expedition forges on.
Humanity’s final hope for salvation has survived the 3,000 light year journey across the intergalactic void, only to find themselves scattered and vulnerable in a forbidding and alien nebula. Privateer Captain Cassandra Farren, despite her misgivings, has accepted the burden of responsibility for the safety of the Avalon Expedition, but protecting the fleet and it's firebrand civilian director, Elizabeth Ancelet, will prove more complicated than she could have possibly expected.
Continuing the award-winning series, Volume Two explores the painful past of the humans who made the journey, and the existential threat of those who already call the mysterious nebula home.
Directed and produced with careful scientific consultation, The Sojourn captures every detail of life aboard ship, from the sounds of the smallest airlock seal to the largest space battle.
Featuring a full cast of veteran voice actors, backed up by high-quality sound effects and an epic original soundtrack, The Sojourn is a unique and striking audio experience.
Starring Larissa Thompson as Captain Cassandra Farren, Emily Serdahl as Director Elizabeth Ancelet, Laura Faye Smith as Tamara Melari, Ben Prendergast as Mathias Croft, Stephen Trafford as Inquisitor Castian Vadric, also featuring Matthew Kaufman as Lieutenant Jasper Ravi, Lelia Symington as Empress Valendra the Sixth, Tim Parker as Lord Cardinal Hastus Arvannis, and Amy Kay as Cindra Tacira. Written by Daniel Orrett and Rowan J. Coleman, sound design by Kennedy Phillips, music by Sam Redfern.

Incredible (if you haven’t bought it, do so, NOW)
This is one of the best things you can listen to, the story, sound, music, and voices are all incredible and top notch.
And I think I have listened to it in full maybe 8 or so times, and each time I can find one little detail that I missed or hear something that truly completes a scene and setting. In short this has quickly become one of my all time favorite Sci-fy series and I just want to say incredible job to the whole spacedock team, Voice actors and everyone else, and especially Sam Redfern for blessing us with quite possibly one of the best soundtracks out there. Super excited for volume three and thanks for blessing us with this.
Inconsistent and Dull
The Characters like Liz and the admiral don't follow the international conventions on the law of war. The story throws away the plots and characters built up in the first book and makes the aliens seem like painted humans who have weird bass accents. Likewise, the story is uninteresting and uninspiring being it doesn't draw the reader into them but instead blows ideas and agendas on unimportant political and social topics. If anything #RESTORETHESNYDERVERSE would be a great way to inspire the writer and his editors to make a more inspiring story being the setting is dull on ships that are too mechanical when they are not meant to be for advanced spacefairing civilizations, a lack of strategy and tactical sense, and common sense thrown out the window with smoking, cursing in military tradition, and lack of empathy towards first contact with alien races. 0/5 for the entire series.
