Brooks
Overhearing my cousin's best friend confessing that she's never been satisfied wasn't my fault . . . but offering to help her change that definitely was. Her brother is a friend of mine, and while this has a bad idea written all over it, it doesn't stop us from becoming friends . . . with benefits.
Palmer is gorgeous, off-limits, and stubborn as hell. For the first time, I'm the one left wanting more. I'm tired of watching her walk away. I'm ready for her to stay.
Palmer
I never dreamed having my crush overhear my most embarrassing confession would land me in his bed . . . or that I would want to stay there. But our secret relationship has rules. No strings. No expectations. No feelings. What's that saying about rules? Oh yeah, they're meant to be broken.
But when it comes to Brooks, I'm afraid if I'm not the one to walk away, it won't be just the rules broken.
This audiobook includes a bonus novella, Stay Always.

My favorite trope!!
Oh, brother’s best friend at its finest!
Palmer & Brooks are absolutely perfect together.
The quintessential high school crush on one of her brother’s best friends that she knew was going nowhere combined with the “oh wow, she’s grown into a beautiful woman” on his best friend’s little sister made for a nearly perfect unrequited love that was meant to be.
And when Brooks overhears Palmer confess her “I’ve never had” to her best friends, he’s like “challenge accepted”. And boy did he own that challenge! They were so sweet, so intense, & their chemistry & friendship was just completely off the charts. Plus, sneaking around always adds that extra layer of excitement.
Watching these two characters grow & fall in love just showed how perfect they were for each other. I loved the way that all of the characters engaged with each other. I loved the relationship Brooks has with all of his brothers & his cousin/pseudo-sister Ramsey, not to mention how adorable his parents are. And Palmer’s relationship with her brother reminded me a lot of my relationship with my brother, especially when we were younger.
This book set up this series nicely to delivery some amazing reads about the rest of the Kincaid brothers. Color me intrigued when it comes to Declan & his sweet daughter Blakely!
Audiobook Review:
Eric MacArthur & Alexa Elmy are both new to me narrators, I believe. And their portrayal of Palmer & Brooks kept me in the story & begging for more.
I loved the added bonus of getting the series prequel, Stay Always at the end of this audiobook. Because you know we were all wanting to know more about Orrin & Jade. And let me tell you…Orrin has the swoon factor in the bag! His brothers have a lot to live up to!
Work hard, Love Harder!
This story was so sweet and heartwarming. I enjoyed it a lot and the audiobook was amazing. I am so intrigued with each brother in this series. In this book we get to meet Brook and Palmer. On the audiobook we get a bonus novella about two other characters. This is a short story, but also a heart melting one. I love the two main characters, but also the side characters. You can’t help but love them all. This family are goals honestly and I can’t wait to continue the series. This story is a friend’s with benefits that evolves into something more. I absolutely recommend this audio book. Both narrators did an amazing job.
Great story with awesome narration
This is a great new series starter. Secret crush, friends to lovers, small town…all the amazing tropes that will have you laughing, swooning and falling in love with the characters. Palmer and Brooks are a fun couple that have amazing banter, overall dialogue and hidden feelings that they are struggling with keeping hidden. The family and friends bring added laughs, great dialogue and support to Palmer and Brooks. They are in the dark about the relationship but once it comes to light they are fully supportive. Stay Always - novella Jade and Oren are a sweet couple. Their relationship develops so beautifully…they are both patient with one another and take things slow. They are both a bit cautious but once they finally share their true feelings…the relationship takes off. A fun listen. Eric McArthur and Alexa Emily are both new to me narrators. They did a fantastic job and gave the characters perfect voice, personality and emotion.
