OUCH!! or was it YAWN?
I love to listen to mysteries while I run - Carolyn Hart, Leslie Meier, Agatha Christie. This book lasted about 12 minutes. The prologue (I think it was the prologue) was too long - the poor protagonist was agonizing over her decision to get a master's degree in social work. Not a promising start. And then there was the reader of the story with her Millennial accent. When we got to the "NEvah EVah", I had to turn it off. For the short period of time that I listened to the book (roughly 17 minutes), it was boring (the story), grating (the voice) and irritating (the two qualities together). Not an inspiring force for a run...
