Your personal identity describes who you are, who you aspire to be, or who people perceive you to be. The majority of us have been told in our lives at one time or another that we can be whoever or whatever we want to be, but what happens when someone else makes that decision for you without your honest consent? Typically in our society when someone's identity is stolen, there are a series of laws and agencies in place to remedy that issue; however, when it is the lawmaker that is the thief of your identity what recourse do you have? Who do you tell? Who can help you? Who will believe you?
Stolen Identity is a story about a young man's battle with a dysfunctional family, a faulty criminal justice system, and oppressive society to distinguish who he really is from who they have labeled him as and virtually created him to be.
First Audiobook I listened to on apple.
Once I started, I had to finish and I Finished it in one setting. Great book. Dirty system.
Highly recommend book.
If you are a judge, lawyer, parent, mentor, teacher, brother, sister, correctional officer, or a young adult? You need to read this.
It’s not often that I get to read a true story like this. To actually go within; inside the Mind, the Life of a young man who was robbed of pure innocence in so many ways. Read it and share if you were able to see through the smoke screen that clouded this young man vivid dreams. The injustice of an unstable home, societally oppressed and biased attorneys coercing a plea deal doesn’t prove guilt. The law says that one has to “knowingly and intentionally”cause harm; his intention was innocence. This book presents a traumatizing tragedy thrown on a young-man by the injustice of the criminal system. All due to no one’s fault or mistake !!! This book hits very close to many homes in our communities, maybe yours ! It’s emotionally riveting. Imagine that this was your child’s Stolen Identity. 😤
