Kate Paletto runs a volunteer program in Belize for Artists for International Aid, where she deals with self-centered artists who use the program as a means to repair their marred reputations. She loves the country, the people, and what AIA stands for, but too many diva volunteers have turned her off to press-seeking celebrities altogether and left her questioning the value of the volunteer program. When she meets incredibly handsome and charming Sage, he stirs emotions she hasn't felt for ages, even though he represents the things she despises.
Laid-back artist Sage Remington escapes his wealthy lifestyle in the Big Apple for a two-week journey of self-discovery to figure out how a guy who has so much can feel so empty. When he meets ultra-organized Kate, who lives her life the way he's always dreamed of living his, the attraction is too hot to ignore, but Sage is there to figure out what's missing in his life, not to find a woman.
Every look, and every late-night chat in the romantic jungle brings them closer together, but Sage can barely think past stripping away Kate's misconceptions about him. Kate fights him every step of the way - even though she finds it hard to ignore the strikingly handsome, generous-to-a-fault artist who wants to do nothing more than right the wrongs of the world - and love her to the ends of the earth.
Great story and listening experience.
Sage Remington is an artist who has decided to take a break and give back to an impoverished community in Belize as a volunteer. Kate Paletto is the Aid worker who has been there and oversees the celebrity volunteers. Sage is not the typical celebrity volunteer but he has to work hard to get Kate to believe that. Can he convince Kate is he there because he wants to be? And will they act on the sparks that fly? Melissa Foster has once again written a compelling story with a human interest base. Her words as given to her characters are both humorous and compelling. The silky voice of BJ Harrison adds so much to this listening experience. I highly recommend Stroke of Love audiobook.
Love in the Jungle!
Sage Remington is a famous artist living in New York City. He feels something is missing in his life, so he decides to do some volunteer work in Belize. What he doesn’t expect to find in the jungle is the love of his life.
Kate Parello runs the volunteer program in Belize. The group of celebrities that show up for a two-week assignment, are not there to help with the villagers but to clean up their image, except for Sage. Kate has little faith in the new group but starts to realize that Sage genuinely wants to help the villagers.
Sage is trying to balance his “in the zone” mentality while he paints, and Kate is slowly letting her guard down when it comes to Sage. Their chemistry is instant, but can they find the balance they need to keep their relationship going once Sage’s two weeks are up.
Another great story by Melissa Foster’s Love in Bloom series.
This book has the most wonderful story.
Kate is in charge of a humanitarian effort to help a small village in Belise. Celebrities, like Sage, come there for good PR. The attraction and chemistry between the two of them is instantaneous, but is Sage really like all the others, just there for the PR? Sage is a well known artist from New York City, but that is where the likeness stops. He is there because he wants to do so much more with his life. In this book, there is the budding romance between the two of them in the jungle of Belize, while working to help the people there, including the children that have to go down and bring water from the river, and pick up sticks for their fires, before they go to school. This book has the most wonderful story, and then add in the narration by B.J. Harrison, it is a five plus book, that I highly recommend.
