Ok thriller
An ok thriller.
Such A Perfect Wife
# 1, Again with this Author/Publisher, I had to count the number of pages in the Hardback version to try and determine whether or not the Audiobook was Abridged or Unabridged. It would be SO simple to print clearly under the Title.
But no matter, I am in such need of a “new” author, that I tried yet another Kate White Audiobook.
The title is completely misleading although the brief Preview indicated otherwise.
Such a silly, rambling, Audiobook.
The main character appears to read minds, out think the Sheriff’s Department, NY State Police, veteran reporters, and so many other hollow, uninspiring characters.
As always, I try and give new authors that friends tell me about more than one chance to intrigue me. After three Kate White books, I’m out $60.00 or more, and very disappointed.
Truly, old Nancy Drew books were more inspiring-but this audiobook and writing style were identical in complexity. Plus, there weren’t a couple of nice best friends to dilute the main characters infatuation with herself.
The same was true in the prior two Kate White’s that I’ve read or listened to.
The Narrator was not abrasive but much too “pressured” - possibly trying to convey the ridiculous intensity of the MAIN, and almost only character.
I am pleased now to go and order Karen Cleveland’s new Audiobook, unless I marked my calendar wrong. Will the cover tell me Abridged/Unabridged?Maybe Karen will be my new “go to” author. I liked her last book quite a lot. Pandora53
