Kazuo Ishiguro is a Japanese-born British novelist, also known as one of "The Three Immigrants" in British literature, along with VS Naipaul and Salman Rushdie. Published and shortlisted for the Booker Prize in 2000, When We Were Orphans was Kazuo Ishiguro’s fifth novel.
