Descripción editorial
When FBI agent Grayson Kincaid first encounters Olivia MacKenzie, she makes quite an impression. The beautiful, tough young attorney has stumbled into the middle of an FBI sting operation and reduced it to chaos. Months of surveillance and careful planning down the drain, Kincaid’s partner is furious and lets Olivia know that she’s ticked off the wrong guy. After all, he’s FBI.
But Olivia isn’t intimidated by his partner’s bullying because she’s something even scarier...she’s IRS.
And working for the IRS is no picnic. She’s on the trail of an elaborate Ponzi scheme, one that threatens to ruin the lives of naive and unsuspecting victims, and one she has personal reasons to be angry about. But after she asks the wrong people questions, her life is suddenly endangered. She’s accustomed to looking out for others who are weak, but being vulnerable herself makes her realize she needs help. In desperation, she calls Grayson Kincaid.
Together they join forces to fight corruption, but Olivia is also fighting the immediate and intense attraction she feels for Agent Kincaid, and that may be a battle she is bound to lose.

Great Book! Narrator just okay
I am a huge Julie Garwood fan. I have read every book she's written and I have most on audiobook that I listen to while working. I've heard many of them dozens of times. I've never encountered a Garwood book that I didn't love, or at least like a lot. This book was the same. Good book. I'm anticipating the more books in line with these characters.
As is my habit, I also purchased the audio to add to my library. I'm listening to it right now and while I like the book, I'm not sure this one will be one of my over and over audio's. Angela Dawe, the narrator, did the narration on Nora Robert's Bride Quartet series, which I also have in audio. I had no problem with her narration on the Roberts series but her narration on Sweet Talk is not great in my opinion. First, her choice of voice for Grayson, the hero, and other main male characters makes them all sound like they have full blown colds. They sound like they need a hit of cold medicine to clear up stuffy noses and lingering laryngitis. Second, there is something in her tone while narrating this book. Almost as though she never resolves the sentence in her tone of voice. A little hard to explain but after 10 hours plus, it gets annoying. I keep waiting to hear just that little change in vocal tone that goes down or up to resolve the thought. It's as if every sentence gets ended on the same tone. Like a singer ending every line on the same note. While I definitely recommend the book Sweet Talk, this may be a book that I re-read in iBooks rather than listen in audio.
Narration is awful
Read the book instead.
Narration awful
I love Julie Garwood, she is my favorite author but this was the worst narrated book I have ever heard. I couldn't even finish listening to it. I have over 50 audiobooks in my library.
Read the book.
