Must Listen
This is an exceptional book that sheds an inside look of how the events happened of that tragic time.
Not as enjoyable as Carr’s other work
I love Jack Carr’s other books. I’ve read and loved them all. But unfortunately after listening for 2.5 hours I’m having a hard time staying invested. While I respect the concept of what he is doing here with this subject matter, it is really dull. Very different from his other books.
Excellent book.
The level of detail achieved in the research for this book is astounding. Countless real world accounts from the Marines and Sailors involved will transport you back in time to Beirut. Incredible job. A must read for anyone with either the power to deploy or command our troops overseas.
