Excellent with the Text.
Excellent diction & phrasing of the rhyming couplets! Elmire, Dorine, and Cleante really shine. Madame Pernelle's obstreperousness in Act 1.1 is perfect! The scene b/w Elmire & Tartuffe is also quite satisfying; Tartuffe's barely constrained neurotically salacious trembling and heavy breathing is hilarious with a sense of the pathetic and wretched. My only disappointment is in Orgon, who seems represented here as too sober for the fool the character is. Overall, a quality reading (but it's to follow without the text).
