Publisher Description
Laramie had just been hit by the Clayton gang, leaving Sheriff Joe Tate without any deputies to serve the entire county. But, as bad as the gunfight had been, the visitor to his office to file a complaint for something that wasn’t even a crime turned out to be much more significant and life-changing.

Another good C.J. Petit adventure
While I enjoyed this audio book enough to almost immediately listen to it again, I would place it in the “good” category rather than the “excellent “ category because it was not quite as original as my very favorite Petit books.
It was a good story well told. I loved the good guys and heroines and disliked the evil characters, as usual.
Definitely worth the time & the money from the remarkable Mr Petit. Enjoy.
