The Age of AI
A scan of where things will head for societies grappling with AI. Very philosophical at times. I liked the way the authors proposed areas society will need to wrestle with in the future. Needed more concrete examples and futurist/vision on how things might work for the better.
Henry Kissinger was a monster
The last thing we need is his take on a dystopian AI feature he won’t be around to see.
A snoozer
No new or earth shattering concepts here. Some good historical information leading up to the age of AI. But it’s somewhat vague regarding details as to what exsistential dangers A.I. poses to civilization, spending too much time pondering the political, ethical and philosophical questions, with the predictable and logical conclusion being to challenge societies and governments to establish some form of universal agreement on doctrines or regulations in order to avoid or circumvent an existential (or more likely inevitable) apocalypse; too P.C. in its revelations but few potential scenarios are presented that creates the urgency that is assumed the book was intended to promote.
