Jeremy Irons’ narration is the perfect way to experience Brazilian author Paulo Coelho’s modern classic. His silky voice brings unexpected dimensions to the fable about a young shepherd boy who travels from Spain to the Egyptian pyramids. Irons’ perfect pacing builds up suspense, making the most of the story's Kipling-like thrills and adventure; he also does a great job highlighting the underlying message of self-actualization. Coelho's healing prose has never sounded so good.

Timeless
There isn’t a time where I wouldn’t enjoy this book. It makes me smile, and every time is like the first. Each and every time I learn something different or something else sticks out. Enchanting and inspirational. A beautifully well told story.
Good and Fast Read
Good read. I had a hard time staying engaged throughout the book. Started picking up when the boy met The Alchemist.
The story of my life
I have read this book once a year since I was in high school. It gets better - and I learn something new - with every iteration. I have read hundreds (maybe thousands) of books in my life, but the story of a boy living out his personal legend and finding love and the key to the soul of the Universe is the best book I’ve ever read.
